Reebok Easy Tones

I purchased a pair of Reebok Easy Tone shoes about a month ago. I walked a lot in April. In fact I walked this much. I've really got to walk more this month, however, I have been running just not with the Easy Tone shoes. I like using my Nike sensor for that. I still feel like I ran more in April than I did in May but I increased some of my time and distance in May.

Overall, the EasyTone shoe and toning shoe concept do have some merit because it provides some level of instability such like a Bosu ball would. However, I don't really think it's to the same degree so I would not even remotely suggest that's all you need to get fit. If people are buying these shoes to lose weight ... it's not going to happen without more aerobic strain and weight training. The toning shoes are just not enough to engage the muscle to near exhaustion to really tone it and it won't result in miracle weight loss.

When I was taking boot camp classes at a local gym we used the Bosu ball a lot and that really does increase cardio and muscle fatigue in the lower body to such an extent that it can show more dramatic results in less time but only if it is maintained over time. This would be a good way to use the toning shoes to compliment another fitness regimen.

I still like my EasyTones though. They are for walking and my running shoes are for running. I have noted from listening to other runners that your running shoes need to be rotated if you have more than one pair and replaced at certain intervals. I am not the best runner but I am working on increasing my running duration and my pace.
